Education and Training
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Kansas State University. I graduated with a Cum Laude level GPA, all while working part-time and maintaining a course load of 15-18 hours per semester. I also minored in Spanish and was only 3 classes short of a double major.
During my final two semesters of college, I secured an internship as the Associate Director of Development for a local non-profit organization. This experience gave me my first exposure to communications, where I edited grant proposals and donor solicitations, and performed vital research for the organization.
I have pursued and completed training in SEO, inbound marketing, news releases, social media, web content and design, links and landing pages to help me succeed in the Marketing arena. I also have familiarity with HTML, XML, HL7 and web services.
As I am passionate about the English language (and almost equally as passionate about Spanish), I am currently working on my TESOL/TEFL certification.
